About Us
Like must people I had always had a dog in my life, so when sadly that changed I felt like a fish out of water. At the time I was travelling all over the country, literally living out of a suitcase. But on the days at home I really missed having that special someone around, the one who no matter how hard the days being, is just so pleased to see you. ‘What you need is a cat’ said my friends. Oh how I laughed at that one !!!. ‘A cat all they do is sleep’ I scoffed. ……… Then along came ‘Bandit’.
A quiet Sunday afternoon was shattered with a screech that instantly made me jump up and see if the world was ending !!. Alas no it was merely my nephew’s friends who had found a feral kitten. Near their home was a large feral colony that lived in empty flats, in the basement. On one of their ‘outings’ the lads had found a mother cat dead and three small kittens nearby. ‘Bandit’ was the only one they managed to catch. From the day they brought her through the door oh how my life changed !!.
Having held this tiny bundle of fur in my hands, which shivered ad screeched all at the same time!! My heart was lost, off to the vets we went. He told me she had a really bad eye infection, worms, and fleas like he had never seen before.
Oh and she was probably only around 3 to 4 weeks old. Bottom line being if I didn’t take care of her she would die.
So began ‘Bandits’ education of me.
For almost five years we were inseparable, she argued with me on a daily basis, ruled the street and all its resident cats, Growled at the postman, slept on my bed, quite happily jumped in her basket and travelled by car with me on my trips and was generally loved by all who met her. She was adorable, Funny, Intelligent, and a great companion.
When I lost her during a routine operation I was devastated.
By the time I started living with Janey I had ‘Raz’ a feral farm cat, who is so laid back he’s horizontal, plus Mizza (Miss Attitude) an ill treated kitten I had rescued from a pet shop and she had ‘Molly’ rescued from a drug den.
We both decided that we would quite like a pedigree cat, me I wanted a Siamese, but having looked at all the information decided that maybe its character and our resident moggies would not get on. Janey suggested a ‘Bengal’. Which I fully admit I knew nothing about. So having looked up all the information I could find and speaking to lots of cat lovers a decision was made. …… Along came Manu.
We bought him from a lovely lady in Essex, who unfortunately no longer breeds, he’s a beautiful Blue eyed Snow Marbled Bengal with ‘Glitterglam’ and ‘Benlotte’ parents. He is such a lovely boy, gentle, loving and stunning. So our love affair with Bengals began.
We were so taken with Bengals that we decided to become breeders. We do not show our cats, we have a small cattery and spend ever spare minute we can with them. They have the run of our garden, which is fully enclosed – oh and the hammock which I had intended to use this summer !!
All our cats are happy, sociable, extremely loved and give us hours of pleasure.
We don’t breed to make a profit we breed loving sociable, healthy kittens and the money each year goes to the living costs of the cats we keep.
All our cats leave us fully inoculated with a clean bill of health and insured. Should they not fit into your household then they can be returned to us for rehoming.
We do this because we wanted you to enjoy the lovely nature of the Bengal as much as we do, and because we love having these unique cats around.
